Wow, time's flown past and we're on the homestretch, we're nearly there. It's been over half a year since i've blogged and honestly, i don't even remember how to blog any more so please excuse my english lulz. I only know how to tweet.
It's the last day of August (aka last day of winter) and it's spring tomorrow (but by the time i publish this post it'll probably already 1st of September). Not really sure whether i should be happy about this or not since sometimes i get these moments of hayfever symptoms and also, spring can get really hot since it's leading up to summer (ew).
For the past few days all i've been thinking about is graduation and becoming really sentimental and nostalgic. HSC's coming up really soon, composition's due on monday and performance is the week after that /cue mental breakdown. I don't want to graduate yet, i don't feel ready at all but at the same time i can't wait to graduate. I am so excited and nervous and sad and i have all these mixed emotions about finally graduating (or finishing high school because technically we're not graduating according to erin but whatevs).
Anyway moving on from graduating and the hsc, i've been in a really unmotivated and relaxed mode since the end of trials which is terrible. I spent probably 2 days worth making arrangements of 2 songs on sibelius for percussion and string orchestra. To make it seem like i'm not wasting my time doing this, i'm going to pretend to myself that doing this will actually benefit me for music in some way. I would say for melody dictation but the songs i arranged i already know so well on piano so lol can't really say that. Anyway, if you're interested here are the 2 songs i made hehehe :3 (wow shameless advertising but who reads this blog anyway). I want to make more but...this is really time consuming and i don't have the time so i'll wait until after hsc and then i can become more of a hermit and spend all my time making random arrangments on sibelius :D
Oh yeah, here's something i've been really wanting to say. So much love for the music kids this year. The support and encouragement that everyone gave to each other now and during the trials is amazing. I'm so glad to be one them and i'm also so, so happy that i decided to change to music last minute when we were filling out our subject selection sheets at the end of year 10. One of the things i'm going to miss the most about high school would definitely be the music faculty and the wonderful people :'')
Annnnyway, can't think of anything else to write so i'll leave you with a song i really really like. So many things coming up, this will probably be the last blog post i write until november. Good bye everyone, and good luck for the upcoming exams ♥
